I am afraid
You say that you love rain,
But you open your umbrella when it rains..
You say that you love the sun,
But you find a shadow spot when the sun
shines..
You say that you love the wind,
But you close your windows when wind blows..
This is why I am afraid,
You say you love me too
William Shakespeare..
Thanks to Shakespeare who has
created this meaningful poem. Actually, I am not going to review it, I just
feel attracted to discuss one thing that he has mentioned in his poem.
IT IS RAINING!! One of my friends
screamed loudly .then, the silent circumstance
immediately became very crowded, everyone was running everywhere, you
might think that the people were afraid if their dried clothes will be wet
again, or they were afraid of being rained, NO!! they were competing of being
the first to come to the raining area in order to take the best place to have a
shower and wash some clothes, -as you have read in my first post, I have lived
in dormitory for six years, its shape is like girl’s IDB dorm at UIN Ar-Raniry,
where we can see the sky every minutes- so
that’s why we always felt inspired to have a bath there..hihihi yeah, we always
wait for rain to fall, we love it so much, of course there are several reasons
why we especially me, love it.
1. *
the number of santriwati is so huge with a limited bathroom
(read: well). We can say, the total number is about 150 students and it only
has one big large well, we call it as ‘sumur besar’ . if you want to be at
school on time, you must get up before the dawn breaks but do not be shock if
you find a large number of people there. The unimportant activities, such as
washing clothes or washing dishes, is really annoying, it is not the time to do
that, it just makes the area more crowded and you know, sometimes we finish
that daily ritual after the sun arises.. well, the point is, if it’s raining,
we don’t have to go to the big well, feel annoyed, and go to school lately
because we have raindrops as our liquid luck..
2.
*the ground in our complex area is very dry, it results from
the number of coconut palms planted there, you know guys?? Each tree usually
drinks 700 liter of water per day, it dehumidifies our environment. Hence, we need rain to humidifies it again…
3.
* raining also can
cancel the learning activities. To be frank, I love being in classroom but not
for study, just for getting fun with friends because most of the teachers are
not going to school if it is raining. Okay.. Let me tell you little story about
rain while I am in the classroom. I used to write everything in my book, -not a
special book-everything which is interesting, (today, I no longer have that
interest). It was Wednesday on 2012, our teacher was not coming yet, I sit next
to door, looking for the raindrops, its rounded shape, their rhythm, the way they touch and make a
hole on the ground, when their rounded shape lose as they fall, the plants were
screaming happily, sometime they moved their body in order to make it wet, such
a nice view and I started drawing them by my words in my book.. unconsciously, the
rain falls regularly on Wednesday, and I always had the same activities .. I
create a word that represent my happiness, it is WW (read: double doubleyu)..
yeah, it stands for wet Wednesday, because on Wednesday, we were really free,
but keep going to school to get some nice activities like what I’ve done..
that’s all, there is no relationship between the poem and the story, it
just for reminds me that, yesterday I ever loved rain, and ever created a
jargon.. Wet Wednesday..
