The history of darul aitami

the only one integrated Pesantren currently in South Aceh area, established in 2005 which is ± 8 years old, has the same learning system as other integrated dayahs in Aceh. This islamic school is funded by the local government of Aceh Selatan. So the status is still private. As a matter of fact, school named "darul aitami" previously existed standing in the area of South Aceh, but because the system used in the teaching-learning process has many faults, so that its existence is extinct.

Initially this dayah stems from the issues of "leluri" citizens and local governments who want to create a new idea that the need of an integrated dayah boarding, by teaching the science of the world and the science of the afterlife. The name Darul Aitami means not only a place for "orphan" people, but also as a place for "poor" people. It is evident that not a few santri who have both parents also studied in the pasantren. Even many children who are there also learn in Darul Aitami. But the main thing is the orphan. For santri who come here until the graduated, usually this dayah is commonly called the abbreviation "DA" (Darul Aitami). In this dayah, santriwan and santriwati are neither separated nor made satir, veil (seukat limits) in the process of learning, not like salafiyah dayahs between the air and the adam are separated, even they do not know each other. However, this dayah is the same as Darul 'Ulum, SMA and other equivalent public schools.

Initially, this pesantren had only one class for santri level of Madrasah Tsanawiyah only. In the second year, the new Aliyah level is filled with one class, so this year there are three classes, one class for madrasah 'aliyah and two classes for madrasah tsanawiyah. Years by years, with the increase and quality of high learning santri, can make a large integrated boarding school, especially in the area of ​​South Aceh, precisely in the sub-district Pasie Raja. The purpose of this dayah study may be somewhat different from other integrated dayahs in Aceh whose faces focus on the books, meaning that here their aim is to be able to understand the yellow or bald scriptures that include neuroscience and nahwu science. However, in this pesantren DA, has a purpose that all students who have graduated from the place can "speak two", namely English and Arabic. As for the lesson yellow book is in second position. Both of these subjects became the highest position and as a condition of graduation in the dayah and this does not affect the graduation in the madrasah, because graduation in the madrasah depends on the center, we must be able to answer the national exam questions that have been made by the center.

Each year, the local government of Aceh Selatan disburses approximately three billion funds, which is used for the construction of school buildings, laboratories, fences (the construction is done in stages), and for the cost of kitchen accommodation (free meals).
